Inspired by real events, Black Mass is set over a 24-hour period in Florida during the winter of 1978 when college girls were being stalked by a serial killer. 

Serial killer and True Crime movies and TV show aren’t exactly difficult to find recently but this directorial debut from Devanny Pinn takes a completely different direction to what you’d expect from a film like this – this is a film about the victims, not the killer. We spend a day with the victims whilst their killer stalks them within this unsettling film based on a true story, something that is made all the more effective and challenging to sit through thanks to the engaging performances and excellent directing on display here.
